The last time I rode at Newtonmore was in 1971 and it is great to come back and to see things still being run by a different generation of the family but still with the same feel and a great welcome. What a lovely, well laid out and well run centre that definetly moves with the times. I will definetly be back now that I have re-kindled those 40 year old memories.

The New Year Mock Hunt was so much fun! We spent 4 hours in the icy hills and finally caught the fox. Lucas kept up, cantered and jumped a few logs and burns - and fell off only twice! He was really enjoying himself !
And to top it all off we got engaged too :-)

Dear Ruaridh, Tonya and all at Newtonmore,
I am so pleased to see that Newtonmore has become one of the top places to ride in the highlands. Having been in at the ground level, and seen the place take shape from day one, I want to congratulate you all for continuing to progress and make Newtonmore the "in" place to ride. Ruaridh spared no expense getting rid of the sub standard stabling that was there when he took over the premises and replacing them with wonderful stabling. ( I remember me and Elspeth and a large hammer, demolishing what was there!)The riding centre deserves to be successful. I know the expense of setting up such a facility and I am pleased it is now such a popular venue with both locals and tourists. Well done to all, and I look forward to calling in next time I am home. I would just like to say thanks to everyone for such a nice time & how i was made to feel a part of the team even for the short time i was there. Brilliant riding school with fantastic staff. Will definately be back .

I've started to ride regularly at Newtonmore and absolutely love it.

I've travelled pretty much all over the world and have very rarely met such friendly and helpful folks.
